"GHOSTS...come out, come out, wherever you are"

This is the theme of Bulawan Toastmasters Group as I joined them last night. Scary, isn't it? hehe Eventhough I didn't see a ghost since birth, I am still hoping that I'll meet one someday. Casper, the friendly ghost.

I used to go out in my comfort zone, so I went there to evaluate the Table Topics Session. This is the second time that I became an Evaluator. The first time was in our Dalight. It worths, the time I spent there was enjoyable and fulfilling. Questions throwned include "Do you believe in ghosts?", "If you are a ghost, where will you stay?", "If given a chance, who's ghost will you hunt?" and more. Someone also shared about his Ghost Encounter in the school.
After the meeting, they invited me and the rest of my fellow evaluators to attend their Davao Ros-Ver Pawnshop Search for Mr. and Ms. DRPI 2008 in Brokenshire Inland Resort, Madapo Hills, Davao City.
Connect it to the title hehe, our Pledge of Allegiance is:
I pledge allegiance to the flag of the Philippines and to the Republic for which it stands. One nation under God, indivisible with liberty, justice and Democracy for all.

More Than the Riches of this World

"Do what the Lord wants, and he will give you your heart's desire." Psalm 37:4

I made it my life verse. There are times I fall short on obeying what God wants me to do, but I am blessed to have Him beside to remind me unfailingly. He uses people, places, and circumstances to show me His love. Two days ago, I joined the Kadayawan festival by visiting some of the beautiful places in Davao. First, we went to Museo Dabawenyo where I got the chance to hold the solidarity ring, big enough to fit my middle finger when I transform to "Incr_d_ble H_lk", it's a secret so I hide some letters. Secondly, we walk around the park to see the exhibited houses of the natives. Afterward, we got a chance to buy some stuff inside the Matina Town Square. I bought a flowery short for the beach (gulf view) the next day. We celebrated our church's Oceans day yesterday August 25, 2008. Finally, the tour ended at Jacksridge where we usually take pictures overlooking the city. You ought to visit the places I mentioned when you visit Davao City. One thing I treasure most from God is He is very true on His promises. Remember the Psalm 37:4 above. The family, friends, material blessings, and everything are gifts from Him.

TEXT QUOTE OF THE DAY

The sand taught me one thing:
"you can't hold too many things, no matter what you do to make them stay, So learn to let go and choose carefully which you want to stay, because like the sand, only those which are in the center of your palm will last."

Hot and Spicy

Living is like two pieces spicy chicken joy with two rice today. Why? Wala lang, masarap at minsan ay hindi (Delicious but sometimes is not, ohh ha may translation pa =).
It's holiday today in Davao City to celebrate the Kadayawan Festival. Every year, the people here rejoices for the blessings that come from above. Above the trees are yummy fruits, above the lands are soaring mountains that protects the city from typhoons. Above all, the Giver is there watching and moving over His people.
Today, I went to NCCC mall with Keith. He wants to develop the vacant space beside it for an entertainment center. This is his thesis for his architecture course in Notre Damme of Marbel University.
I am a technical person, i enjoy problem solving especially the ones that require computations. That is why I am very willing to help him on this project.
After a 4-hour strolling inside and outside NCCC, we proceeded to SM city to buy the reference books in constructions. Young practitioners like me and keith need the written experiences of the older ones.
After going to malls, I managed to take an overtime with my crew. We installed six timers for six capacitor banks on our system. We need this solution for better power quality of Davao Light.
Indeed, Life is sometimes hot and always spicy. Have a pleasant evening. ;)

Why powergiver?

Another question for the second time around. After 18 posts, I will answer the question that the world longs for 3 months. I have two main answers in two different point of views. You might have another brilliant idea in mind, you can always contact me at charlodeniega@gmail.com
Firstly, I offer these blogs to the life giver Himself, God. He is the one that gives us power to live. To live in accordance with His will. Without Him, we are nothing. We owe everything to Him, our family, friends, resources, everything.
Next is, I am working with a company that literally gives power. We are the third largest electric utility in the country. The second largest located in visayas is also a sister company including several power generators in major parts of the Philippines. I used to deal with power quality and power system studies.
This (blogspot) is a powerful avenue for me to exercise writing. I believe in the power of words, though I am not used to play with it. I want my articles to be understandable even to a grade school student. If it won't, I failed to pass on the power to anyone who reads this.
We have the power. The power to motivate, to touch lives, to act, to influence, to encourage, to change the world for the better. Let's use it, let's share it. Let's help.

How much is your TIME?

If I live here on earth for 70 years, I will spend it in 613,620 hours. And to make you cram more, multiply it by 3,600 and you will get 2,209,032,000 seconds. You can use your cellphone to do the solving, don't waste your time looking for the calculator. Remember that every second counts.
I've just came from an overtime.

If I am paid around 120 per hour at present, it means 73,634,400 for a lifetime (if i reach 70, only God knows) assuming a fixed income. Are you willing to trade-in a lifetime for a fortune? My answer is a big NO. We are worth far more than millions of money. God made us for a special purpose. Let's work not for money, let's work for God. He is our ultimate boss.
Hay, tulog na ko. Kapoy na kaayo mag english da.
Good night everybody... =)

We Should NOT Fear CoNfLiCt

Together with my cell group, we discussed the 2nd fundamental belief in building a teamwork. We should not fear conflict. I learned more than I expected tonight. My teammates were experienced and one of them is a guidance counselor. We are all young professionals which includes a banker (Francis), School Directors (Bernie and Dennis), Merchandisers (Ronald, Rando and Louie), Entrepreneurs (Jeannot and Dondon), Chefs (RB and Mark), Engineers (Jimmy, Francis II, Emman and me), and a Salesman (Arnel).

A month ago, we talked about the 1st fundamental belief: We have to trust each other. The topics were enjoyable for us since everyone is involved in a profession. I think everybody can relate well, this is obvious in their reactions and comments.
I thank God for giving me the opportunity to lead a group of young profs. I've been doing this since I landed a job in Davao last October 10, 2005. Every week is another victory in reaching out for the people that needs Jesus. We are eager to know and practice the principles from God that will make us a better person in our workplace. To do our job well as we are working for the Lord.
Wherever we are, whatever we do. God will use us in a very unique way in bringing people to the saving grace of Jesus.
You will be surprised on how He works.
The potter's hand will mold you too in a great way.

I think i'm a home buddy today

Why? 23.5 hours today was spent at what we called "the mansion". I only went outside to buy inasal na isda and spices for dinner. We bought one beside Grand Men Seng Hotel for 40 pesos only.
To celebrate the special holiday today in lieu of Ninoy Aquino day on August 21, we did a general cleaning inside the mansion. Once every 3 years lang, isn't it great? But we recovered just enough trash to fill a medium-sized closet.
Though I like adventures and explorations, most of the time I just do it in the living room. How? Through reading. I remember the books written by Mark Twain. The adventures of Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn were just some of my favorites.
I want to invite you for a 2-day or 3-day Mt. Apo mountain climbing experience in November, I'm planning to do it during holidays. Just contact me at 09177003082 if you wanna join.
Back to work tomorrow! =)

Welcome back for me!

Hi there!
It's been a while. The last post I have was a month ago.
Last night I dreamed of a lady friend who is new to me, I met her in one of my organizations special event last week. I found her cheerful and always smiling (of course!hehe). The same award I received in my 4th grade, most cheerful. But sadly, I forgot what's on my dream, I only remember who's in it.
So what? =)
She is cool and I like her, I want to uncover her personality. Only that? I don't know. Wahihihi shobiz. Abangan ang susunod na kabanata nalang gud. Sorry nalang sa mga wala nakasabot around the world. Ana jud ang life, we don't know everything. Because I choose not to tell you. hahaha
Before I formally end (as in serious jud, formally). I will leave this thougth to you from one of Mac Anderson's article: "To get what we've never had, we must do what we've never done." What's the connection? Nothing, you might misunderstood it. Defensive na kaayo ko. Bye bye
